"PIANOFORTISSIMO", TONIGHT AT THE ARCHIGGINASIO
The talent of young Xhaferi
Between Beethoven, Liszt and Chopin
Ruben Xhaferi, 16 years old - surname of Albanian origin, but a precocious all-Italian talent - will play at 9 pm tonight in the Archiginnasio Courtyard as a guest of the "Pianofortissimo 2022" festival.
Xhaferi, who lives in Padua but studies at the "G.B. Martini" Conservatory will present a beautiful programme in which he will showcase his favourite classical and romantic repertoire.
He will play with music by Ludwig Van Beethoven, Sonata in C major op.2 n.3; Franz Liszt, Consolation n.3 in D major S172, Soirée de Vienne n.6 in A minor S. 427 (après Schubert); Fryderyk Chopin, Ballad n.2 in F major Op.38, 4 Mazurkas op.41, Ballad n.4 in F minor op.52.
"The young pianist's technique leaves one amazed - write the organizers - and the interpretative maturity is that of a complete musician who obscures his very green age" and who promises to be "an upcoming great interpreter and heir of the highest international pianism".
The concert activity promoted by Inedita in over thirty years (St. Stefano Festival and Pianofortissimo) brought to light keyboard talents who were still unknown at the time and highly celebrated today, including Alexander Romanovsky, Ramin Bahrami, Daniil Trifonov, Jan Lisiecki, Aaron Pilsan, Antonii Baryshevskyi, Alexandra Dovgan.
Xhaferi's most recent success dates back to November 4th, with the first overall prize in the XXX edition of the "Roma International Piano Competition":
