RUBEN XHAFERI was born in Dolo (VE) in 2005 and began studying the piano at the age of five.
Winner of numerous national and international awards, including the Silvio Bengalli Award organised by the Val Tidone Foundation, the Roma Piano Competition, the Crescendo Award of Florence and the Radovljica Piano Competition, he was awarded First Prize at the XVII National Arts Prize in 2024, a distinguished recognition from the MIUR (Ministry of Education and Merit) for the best students of the Conservatories of Italy, which was held at the Conservatory of Cagliari.
He has already performed in numerous concerts in Italy, Germany, Spain, and Slovenia.
He has played in prestigious theatres and concert halls, including the Pauline Chapel of the Quirinale Palace in Rome, which was broadcast live on RAI Radio3, the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni in Bologna, the Teatro Sociale E. Balzan in Badia Polesine, the Salone dei Cinquecento of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, the Teatro Comunale of Adria, the Sala del Guariento of the Accademia Galileiana in Padua, the Teatro Palladium in Rome, the Teatro Belloni in Monza Brianza, the Archiginnasio Courtyard in Bologna, the Mozart Hall of the Bologna Philharmonic Academy and the Palazzo Chigi-Saracini in Siena.
He has given solo recitals for a number of important associations, including the Fondazione Società dei Concerti of Milan, PianoFortissimo/Bologna Festival, Emilia-Romagna Festival, the Bartolomeo Cristofori International Festival of Padua, Ljubljana Festival in Slovenia, and I Concerti del Quirinale in Rome.
As a soloist, he has collaborated with I Musici dell'Accademia di Bologna, the Symphony Orchestra of the "Antonio Buzzolla" Conservatory of Adria, the Symphony Orchestra of the "Giovan Battista Martini" Conservatory of Bologna, the Symphony Orchestra of the "Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina" Conservatory of Cagliari, the Senzaspine Orchestra of Bologna, the FVG Chamber Orchestra.
He has performed under the direction of several conductors, including Luigi Verdi, Ambrogio De Palma, Alberto Caprioli, Sergio Monterisi, Tommaso Ussardi, Romolo Gessi.
From the age of eight, he studied with Sandro Baldi, with whom he continued his studies until obtaining a first level academic diploma at the "Giovan Battista Martini" Conservatory in Bologna, obtaining top marks, honors and honorable mention.
He is currently studying with Alessandro Taverna at the "Cesare Pollini" Conservatory in Padua and attending the master courses at the "Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia" in Rome with Benedetto Lupo.
Since 2023, he has attended specialisation courses at the Accademia Chigiana under the guidance of Lilya Zilberstein.
